Union Minister of State for Cooperation and Civil Aviation, Murlidhar Mohol, arrived at Bagdogra airport today for a two-day visit to Sikkim. His visit, scheduled from February 28 to March 1, includes key meetings and engagements aimed at strengthening cooperative initiatives and aviation infrastructure in the region.
Upon arrival at Bagdogra airport, he was welcomed by Gopal Pathak, APO of the Home Department, Government of Sikkim, along with officials from the Protocol Unit Siliguri, STDC, and TIC Bagdogra. He is accompanied by Additional PS Vrishal Yelegaonkar and APS Vinod Satav.
During his visit, the minister is set to hold discussions with the Sikkim State Cooperative Union, focusing on cooperative sector growth and development. He will also visit Pakyong District for various commitments, including assessing local cooperative projects and reviewing aviation-related infrastructure.
As part of his itinerary, Mohol will participate in an interactive session on the Union Budget 2025-26, organized by the BJP Sikkim Economic Cell at Hotel Tashi Delek, Gangtok, on March 1. The session will provide insights into the budget’s impact on Sikkim and allow stakeholders to engage in discussions regarding economic policies and their implications for the state.
