CBSE 12th Result 2021 Declared: Rise in the Pass Percentage of Students

  • COVID AND EXAMS: ULTIMATE TUSSLE

The world is in the middle of a pandemic which we all are very much aware of. COVID-19 cases are only surging because of which CBSE has faced many obstacles. We are essentially talking about the exams of class 12th. The exams scheduled for May cancelled due to a surge in COVID- 19 cases.

  • THE MUCH-AWAITED RESULTS
  • Check the result here:

Yesterday- 30th July 2021 at 2 p.m. the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the results of class 12th. The result is available at the official website – cbse.gov.in, cbseresults.nic.in.

It is also available via SMS, UMANG app, and Digilocker.

  • Pass percentage:

The result declared for 1304561 students and over 70,000 students have secured 95% and above which is almost double the students from the previous year and 1, 50,152 have scored 90-95%. The pass percentage among male students is 99.13% which is higher as compared to the last year’s pass percentage i.e., 86.19% but girls have again outrun the boys with a 0.56 margin. 99.67% of the total female students have cleared the exam.

Also, in the CBSE 12th result, Kendriya Vidhyalayas has registered a 100% pass. Last year, these schools had registered a 98.62% pass. If we are talking about passing students how can we not mention compartment students? 0.47% of students totaling to 6149 have got compartment this year although the number of students giving compartment has drastically reduced this year last year it was over 87,000 students.

However, the result of over 65184 students is under process. It will be released by August 5th. In the year 2020, 66.67% of the transgender candidates had cleared class 12th but this year they have registered 100% results. Their performance has increased by over 30%. With an increase in the pass percentage registered this year by CBSE and the other state boards, the college admissions’ cut-offs are likely to soar with 5.3% of students scoring above 95%.

  • MIXED REACTIONS FROM STUDENTS:

If we consider the students’ reactions to their results, some of them are happy with their results while some aren’t.

  • “Got 98.8%, the lockdown was a hard time but still managed to pull through, congrats everyone for their results,” a student.
  • “Results weren’t what we were expecting. I was expecting over 80% score but I am disappointed. I wanted to get into a government college but it seems difficult now,” says Abhishek Chaudhary, a student in Delhi.

Unusual times call for unusual ways to deal with the situation. This line proved exceptionally well for the CBSE. Class 12th exam is the basis for many of the future courses that a student chooses. Not only students but even the parents were tensed for the future of their children.
