Three Suicide Cases Reported in Sikkim Within Two Days, Investigations Underway
Sikkim witnessed three separate cases of suicide within 24 hours across different districts, prompting ongoing investigations by authorities.
Namchi District – On Saturday morning, a man was found hanging near his residence in Namchi. Locals alerted authorities, and law enforcement officials conducted an inquest. The body was sent for medico-legal examination before being handed over to the family. Preliminary investigations suggest no foul play, but inquiries are ongoing.
Pakyong District – First Case
On Sunday, another case was reported in Pakyong District, where a man was found deceased near his residence. Authorities conducted an inquest and ruled out foul play so far.
Pakyong District – Second Case
On the same day, another individual was discovered dead near the Rangpo River bank. Preliminary investigations indicate no immediate signs of foul play.
Officials are continuing investigations into all three cases.
