UNIVERSITIES IN DELHI TO START COVID CARE CENTRES
The pandemic has resulted in so much stress among people since the day it has emerged. The corona warriors have managed the situation so well. Universities such as GGSIPU and NSUT to add up their efforts by starting COVID care center in the campus premises in Universities in Delhi.
IP University is looking forward to setting up a 10 bed COVID care hospital with the availability of oxygen beds. They are also keen to set up vaccination camps and RTPCR testing. The best initiative taken by them is to plan to set up an oxygen plant. It will accommodate the needs and requirements of both universities as well as the general public. IP University also established a welfare group in the month of April to help society in terms of a pandemic. Voluntarily funds contributed by teaching and non-teaching staff to the welfare group. They finance the material required for the cause. These collected funds to arrange oxygen cylinders, concentrators and PPE kits. As soon as possible to give a quick start to this initiative in Universities in Delhi. The university with its COVID team is making efforts to create a good health infrastructure at the campus.
Like IP, NSUT has also planned a COVID care center on its campus with 12 ICU beds. However, lack of proficiency and medical team plans were kept on hold. The president cum chairperson of NSUT alumni affairs said that they are loaning out oxygen concentrators to their staff members, students and alumni.
Jamia Hamdard has also set a 50 bed COVID care center exclusively for its employees, Delhi police officers and their family members. Required medicines and meals will be provided to all the patients in Universities in Delhi. The medical team will ensure the proper care of all the patients.
