One of the key proposals was the potential launch of a helicopter service between Gangtok and Guwahati, aimed at enhancing accessibility and fostering regional growth. Additionally, CM Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma highlighted Assam’s advanced healthcare facilities, especially in cancer treatment, and offered support to Sikkimese patients seeking care in Assam.
This meeting emphasized the strong cooperation between the two states. CM PS Tamang also extended an invitation to CM Himanta Biswa Sarma to visit Sikkim, which he graciously accepted, planning a visit towards the end of this year.
