Senior Vice President of SDF Party, Tshering Wangdi Lepcha, Resigns

Tshering Wangdi Lepcha, Senior Vice President of the Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) and former minister from the Lachen Mangan Constituency, has tendered his resignation from the party. In a letter addressed to the President of the SDF, Lepcha cited “unavoidable reasons” for his decision to step down.

Tshering Wangdi Lepcha, a longtime active member of the party since 1993, expressed gratitude towards the SDF for the knowledge and experience he gained in Sikkimese politics over the years. However, despite his longstanding association with the party, he stated that due to circumstances beyond his control, he could no longer continue as a member.

He held the position of Sr. Vice President and was in charge of overseeing the party’s activities in the North and East districts.
