DC Soreng Shri Bhim Thatal chaired the coordination meeting with the Health and Family Welfare Department and Education Department of Soreng District at his Chamber in the presence of CMO Gyalsing/Soreng Dr Bikash Pradhan, Senior AO LRMD Shri Bishnu Lall Sharma, Medical Officers of Soreng District and Officials from Education Department.
The main objective of the meeting was to provide assistance from NITI Aayog Fund. He assured all Medical Officers for the providing assistance towards the procurement of medical equipments such as Dental Chair, Dental X Ray machine, air-conditioning, generator, inverter, Autoclave machines, Cardio Monitor, Digital X Ray, Ambulance, Suction Machine, Equipment for Physiotherapy and other equipments.
He also directed that all the Officers of Soreng District and Medical Officers should be Nikshay Mitra and should support at least one Tuberculosis patient of Soreng District. He added that Tuberculosis Mukt Bharat has a target to eliminate TB Patients by 2024. Tuberculosis is now a community responsibility not only for Health Department and every individual should be aware and be talking about it.
Shri Thatal further directed the CMO to constitute District Health Mission and District Health Society by the end of the month. There is one Rogi Kalyan Samiti for Soreng District and three Jan Aarogya Samiti to be constituted at PHCs level which must be done by this month. He also mentioned that the Health and Family Welfare Department should maintain Health Profile of each area under the respective Medical Officers and submit to his office. He then enquired about the medicine stock, emergency response and COVID-19 related issues.
DC Soreng further mentioned that Special Educators and Resource Teachers of Education Department should work in close coordination with the Health Department. He also instructed that Power Department should install three-phase power supply in every PHC of the Soreng District.
