DoNER Ministry Approves ₹400 Crores for Sikkim Projects, CM PS Tamang Expresses Gratitude to Union Minister Scindia
Sikkim Chief Minister PS Tamang recently announced that the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) has approved ₹400 crores for various projects in the state. At a press conference, he expressed gratitude to Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia for his support and visit to Sikkim.
The funding will primarily focus on advancing infrastructure, with projects aimed at boosting road connectivity, healthcare, education, and tourism. The Chief Minister highlighted that these initiatives would be crucial in enhancing the overall development of the state and improving the quality of life for its citizens. Additionally, the funds will support the state’s efforts to promote sustainable development and empower local communities.
During the meeting, they also reviewed ongoing DoNER schemes and evaluated the performance of the State Level Empowered Committee to ensure alignment with Sikkim’s growth vision. The Union Minister assured his full support for the continued development of Sikkim and the Northeast region.
