The HQ CWE Tezpur, under the aegis of CE Siliguri and Gajraj Corps, proudly announces that Ms. Nazneen Banu, Commander Works Engineer (CWE) of Tezpur and a distinguished IDSE officer, has been honoured with the esteemed Construction Industry Development Council (CIDC) Vishwakarma Award 2026.
In a moment of immense pride for the team, the 155 Base Hospital (Phase-III), Tezpur, under GE (South), has been recognized with the prestigious award for “Best Health Infrastructure.” This recognition underscores the department’s outstanding commitment to providing state-of-the-art healthcare services to the armed forces.
Additionally, the CIDC Vishwakarma Achievement Award for Public Officer was conferred upon Ms. Nazneen Banu, IDSE. Her dedication and exemplary service of over two decades in the Military Engineer Services (MES), along with her deputation to the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, have set a benchmark for excellence.
These awards highlight the unwavering commitment of the MES to nation-building and the holistic development of defence infrastructure.
The award was presented by Shri Nitin Gadkari, Hon’ble Union Minister, at the Dr Ambedkar International Centre, Delhi, on April 10, 2026.
