" MP D.T. Lepcha Inspects Pakyong Bazar "
Rajya Sabha MP D.T. Lepcha, along with a dedicated inspection team, conducted a comprehensive assessment of Pakyong Bazar today to tackle pressing infrastructure challenges affecting the local community. The inspection team included Zilla Adakshya Laden Lamu Bhutia, Zilla Upadhakshya Prabha Pradhan, DC Pakyong Agawane Rohan Ramesh, ADC (Dev) Robin Pd Sewa, DE Water Resources Arjun Gazmer, panchayat members, and representatives from the National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL).
During the inspection, Mr. Lepcha thoroughly examined the existing parking facilities, paying particular attention to congestion issues around the main taxi stand. He identified several vulnerable areas in the roads that require immediate repairs to ensure pedestrian safety. Additionally, the inspection covered the pipeline network and drainage system, which were found to need significant improvements.
Engaging with local residents, Mr. Lepcha listened to their concerns and assured them of swift government action to resolve these infrastructure-related challenges. Following the visit, NHIDCL officials were instructed to expedite maintenance work, particularly focusing on repairing damaged roads and enhancing the drainage system in Pakyong Bazar. The visit reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to improving public infrastructure and addressing the needs of the community.
