On behalf of the people and the Government of Sikkim, Chief Minister P. S. Tamang extended his heartiest congratulations and best wishes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on achieving the historic milestone of becoming the longest-serving Head of Government in India.
Describing the achievement as a moment of national pride, the Chief Minister stated that the Prime Minister’s combined tenure as the Chief Minister of Gujarat and the Prime Minister of India stands as a testament to his remarkable leadership and enduring public service. He noted that Modi’s political journey, spanning over two decades, reflects exceptional dedication, unwavering commitment, and a deep sense of responsibility towards the nation.
Highlighting his leadership during Amrit Kaal, Tamang said that the Prime Minister has emerged as a guiding force, embodying the trust and aspirations of 145 crore Indians. He further added that Modi’s tenure of over 13 years as the Chief Minister of Gujarat was marked by visionary governance, rapid economic growth, and strong public support, laying a solid foundation for his leadership at the national level.
Since assuming office as Prime Minister in 2014 and securing three consecutive electoral victories, Modi’s dynamic and transformative leadership has steered the country towards significant progress in infrastructure, digital innovation, economic reforms, foreign policy, and inclusive welfare initiatives.
The Chief Minister also lauded the Prime Minister’s special focus on the holistic development of the North-Eastern region, often referred to as Ashta-Lakshmi, noting that this approach has brought unprecedented growth, connectivity, and opportunities to the region.
Guided by the vision of “Nation First,” Viksit Bharat 2047, Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat, and Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas, Tamang emphasized that India continues to scale new heights of progress and global stature under Modi’s leadership.
