Sikkim Police Investigate Minor's Pregnancy.
A 17-year-old minor girl from Namchi district has been found six months pregnant, prompting a police investigation. The case surfaced after the victim’s father filed a complaint at Ravangla Police Station on March 21.
As per the complaint, the girl, a Class 8 student, was subjected to distressing circumstances between September and October 2024. Upon discovering her condition, the family sought legal intervention.
Following the complaint, police have registered a case and initiated an inquiry. Police are gathering evidence and statements to ensure appropriate action is taken. They have assured a fair and thorough investigation while prioritizing the girl’s well-being.
