Sikkim Police Personnel Falls from Bridge, Body Recovered

A police personnel, identified as NK Changzuth Lepcha, tragically fell from Bringbong Bridge into the river while traveling from Dzongu to Mangan Police Station for duty on March 8.

The exact circumstances of the fall remain unclear, and authorities have yet to determine whether it was accidental or intentional.

Following an extensive search operation, rescue teams located his body approximately 8-9 kilometers downstream near Phidang. The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death.

Police have launched an investigation to ascertain the details surrounding the incident.
