"State Level Namprikdang Namsoong Festival "
The second day of State Level Namprikdang Namsoong Festival 2022 was graced by Minister, Shri Sonam Lama as the Chief Guest.
Also present were MLA Dzongu, Shri Pintso Namgyal Lepcha, Zilla Adhyksha Mangan, Zilla Upadhyksha Mangan, ADC (Dev) Mangan, SDM Dzongu, dignitaries and local gentry.
The second day of the festival featured various traditional programs, traditional sports and live performance by revered artists.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest, Shri Sonam Lama conveyed his warm wishes on the occasion of Namsoong. He applauded the enthusiasm and effort of the people of Dzongu for splendidly celebrating the festival since 1976 which, he highlighted, has been conserving and promoting the vanishing tradition and culture of the Lepcha community.
Later, the minister also offered his condolences and prayers on the demise of Smt. Heeraben Modi, revered mother of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
