The ICFAI University, Sikkim successfully concluded the awe-inspiring ABLAZE 2023

The ICFAI University, Sikkim successfully concluded the awe-inspiring ABLAZE 2023, a three-day extravaganza, leaving attendees spellbound. The grand event, held at Manan Kendra, on 24^th May witnessed resounding triumphs and featured esteemed guests. 

Under the theme of “Vasudeva Kutumbakam,” ABLAZE 2023 united cultures, celebrating world peace, oneness, cultural biodiversity, happiness, and the beauty of diversity. The event showcased mesmerizing performances, captivating songs, and enchanting dances that mesmerized the audience.

The illustrious presence of the Chief Justice of the Sikkim High Court, Honble Shri. Biswanath Somadder as the esteemed Chief Guest added an air of prestige to the occasion. His address to the student fraternity was both inspiring and motivating, setting a remarkable tone for the event. The Vice Chancellor, Dr. Jagannath Patnaik’s address was incredibly moving and truly exceptional, as his words on, “Vasudeva Kutumbakam” touched the hearts of everyone deeply. 

The event was graced by the distinguished Vice Chancellors of Sikkim Manipal University, Dr. Veteran Lt. General Rajan S Grewal, and Khangchendzonga State University, Dr. Asish Sharma, Mr. Akshay Sachdeva, IPS along with eminent personalities from the fields of culture, cinema, and sports. These luminaries were felicitated for their outstanding contributions and presence.

Notable among the accolades bestowed was the prestigious ICFAI Youth Achievement Award, presented to Jetshen Dohna Lama, the renowned singing icon of Sikkim. In an exemplary act of her excellent talent, The ICFAI University, Sikkim announced its sponsorship of Lama’s higher studies after completing her plus-two education by the ICFAI Society. 

The finale of ABLAZE 2023 witnessed an exhilarating clash of talents as youths from various institutions in Sikkim competed and showcased their extraordinary skills. The ICFAI University, Sikkim, emerged victorious, claiming the top spot. Sikkim Manipal College of Nursing and Sikkim Manipal Institute of Medical Sciences secured the first and second runners-up positions, respectively.

During the felicitation and prize distribution ceremony, the Vice Chancellor, Dr. Jagannath Patnaik accompanied by esteemed dignitaries, commended the winners and participants for their remarkable achievements. A heartfelt vote of thanks was expressed by the Registrar, extending gratitude to all involved.

The mastermind behind the phenomenal success of ABLAZE 2023, Mr. Gagan Gurung, the overall event coordinator, was applauded for his tireless efforts and meticulous planning. His dedication truly made the event a day to remember for all attendees.
