"Three Lives Lost in Sikkim Accidents"
Three separate road accidents in Sikkim claimed three lives and left one person seriously injured on a tragic day for the state.
A truck carrying cement fell off the road near Kitam Fatak, South Sikkim this morning, killing one person on the spot and seriously injuring the driver, who was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment.
In another accident at Lower Biring, a loaded truck crashed at around 12:30 PM, resulting in the death of the co-driver. Pakyong police have reached the scene and launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.
Earlier in the day, a tragic accident in Manpur, South Sikkim claimed another life when a vehicle veered off the road. The cause of the accident is yet to be confirmed, and authorities are conducting a detailed investigation.
The series of accidents has raised concerns over road safety in the state, prompting calls for stricter enforcement of traffic regulations and improved infrastructure to prevent such incidents.
