"Tourism Minister at Bumchu Meeting"
Minister-cum-Area MLA Tshering T. Bhutia chaired an important meeting on the upcoming Bumchu Festival at Tashiding Monastery, under Yuksam-Tashiding constituency, Gyalshing district.
The minister was accompanied by District Collector Tenzing D. Denzongpa, SDM C.S. Limboo, BDO S.M. Limboo, Former Advisor R.S. Lama, CLC President Nandu Gurung, Zilla Panchayat Birendra Gurung, along with Panchayat Presidents, members, respected Lamas, police personnel, and officers from various departments.
The Bumchu Festival, a sacred Buddhist event, is held annually at Tashiding Monastery. It is marked by the ceremonial opening of a holy water pot, believed to predict the fortunes of the coming year. The festival draws devotees from across the region to receive the sacred water.
The meeting focused on ensuring smooth arrangements for the festival, with active participation from various organizations and officials.
