Vadodara Car Crash Kills One, Injures Four

A car accident near Muktanand crossroads in Vadodara on March 14 claimed the life of a woman and injured four others. The accused, Rakshit Chaurasia, a law student from Varanasi, denied allegations of drunk driving, attributing the crash to potholes on the road.

The accident occurred around 12:30 am when Chaurasia was driving a Volkswagen Virtus GT Plus, owned by his friend Mit Chauhan, who was seated beside him. Eyewitnesses reported that the car was speeding when it struck multiple two-wheelers, resulting in severe casualties.

Following the crash, Chaurasia was reportedly behaving erratically, chanting religious mantras and shouting “another round.” Onlookers detained him and handed him over to the police. Authorities have launched an investigation and are awaiting the results of medical tests to determine if alcohol consumption played a role in the incident.

Chaurasia has denied being under the influence, claiming that the poor road conditions were the primary cause of the accident. Police are investigating all possible factors contributing to the crash.
