Gangtok, July 10: The President of Sikkim Lharipa Association, Shri Norden T. Sherpa accompanied by General Secretary Shri Tashi Norbu Tamang and other members called on the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Sikkim Shri Prem Singh Tamang at the official residence, Mintokgang, today.
During the call on, the team detailed their professional journey and the status quo of the workmanship, performance, and achievements in the field of Buddhist and traditional art and culture in Sikkim. They also mentioned that as an outcome of their seven years of training, they are capable of giving the best results in decorating traditional infrastructures with religious arts, thanka paintings, carvings monuments, statues, spiritual institutions, etc., and also shared their grievances.
Hon’ble Chief Minister patiently heard the grievances placed by the team and assured to render every possible support towards the welfare of the Sikkim Lharipa Association.
Honorable Chief Minister also assured he will support and look into this matter as they have long-term experience in decorating traditional infrastructures with religious arts, thanka paintings, carvings monuments, statues, spiritual institutions, etc., and also shared their grievances.
Hon’ble Chief Minister patiently heard the grievances placed by the team and assured to render every possible support towards the welfare of the Sikkim Lharipa Association. He also asked Minister and other administrators to look into this matter immediately.
