The body of a 29-year-old man named Passang Tshering who had gone missing on 8th July 2023 has been found dead in West Sikkim, Geyzing police said on Thursday.
The police received information about an unidentified body being found in the feeder near St. Mary’s School in Geyzing on Monday after efforts were made to ascertain the deceased’s identity, an official said.
According to the sources he was missing since 8th July 2023, on that day he was expected to return home after taking his day off. On the 10th Morning, after inquiries in local police stations in the district, it was found that the deceased was Passang Thering Bhutia, a resident of Kyongsa, Geyzing.
It’s said that he is an IRB officer who was working in Geyzing, he was riding a scooter with the registration number SK 04 0708 when he went missing.
The matter is being investigated further now, Geyzing police added.
