On the night of October 21, 2022, a fire broke out at Assam Lingzey in Pakyong. Mr. Sancha Kumar Rai, a resident, lost important documents as well as money in the fire brust.
Area MLA Em Prashad Sharma along with DPO Pakyong, visited the site and directed the Land and Revenue Department, Government of Sikkim, to immediately provide a relief fund of Rs. 1.3 lakhs to the victim, as well as he monetarily supported the family from his personal ends.
He further assured of additional support from concerned department.
