Three dead in Bhamsey road tipper mishap

Three people died in a tipper mishap at 4th miles Bhamsey Road which is under Rangpo Sub Divison On Sunday Morning.

Rangpo police officer informed that a tipper met with a mishap accident at Bhamsey road, 4th miles which were carrying two people including a driver in Rangpo subdivision of Sikkim.

In this accident, all three people died on the spot including drivers whose names have not been identified by Rangpo Police and an operation is going on.

Sikkim has been witnessing heavy rainfall since the last week. According to sources, the Rangpo-Rorathang stretch was blocked for most of the day at Reshi. later evening NHDCL cleared the spot and traffic got moving only late in the evening.

A huge number of landslides was also reported in Namthang- Namchi Road which blocked Narak Jhora which was cleared by the afternoon.

According to the India Meteorological Department, there will be widespread rains and thunderstorms over Northeast India including Sikkim.
