Acting on an FIR lodged by the Home Department, Sikkim Police have arrested two members of the Gorkha Seva Sena—Bikramadi Rai from Darjeeling and Subash Mani Singh from Kalimpong. The arrests were made for allegedly misinterpreting a court hearing, misusing the official state mascot, and spreading misinformation related to the sensitive Darjeeling–Sikkim unification issue.
According to sources, a police team from Sikkim picked up the duo from their respective locations. The arrest of Subash Mani Singh was further confirmed through a Facebook post shared by him, which has since drawn public attention.
A third individual named in the case, Noel Sharma, is yet to be arrested, confirmed a source familiar with the investigation.
