Six Boxers from Sikkim selected to represent the 6th Elite Men’s National Boxing Championship – 2022 at Hissar, Haryana.
Sikkim Amateur Boxing Association is participating the 6th Elite Men’s National Boxing Championship – 2022 to be held at CCS, Haryana Agricultural University, Hissar from 31st December, 2022 to 5th January, 2023. This is a last calendar event of the Boxing Federation of India (BFI) for the financial year, 2022-23, organize by the BFI in association with the Haryana Boxing Sangh.
AIBA 1st Star Coach, Shri Anoj Pradhan is escorting the Sikkim Team as coach cum manager for the championship.
The names of the boxers are: Mr. Punzal Pradhan s/o Shri Birkha Bahadur Pradhan in 48 kg wt. category, Mr. Krishna Kailash Rai s/o Lt. Santa Bdr. Rai in 51 kg wt.category, Mr. Binod Gurung s/o Shri Goley Gurung in 57 kg wt.category, Mr. Rudra Bdr. Chettri s/o Shri Harlal Chettri in 60 kg wt.category, Mr. Prabesh Tamang s/o Shri Basant Tamang in 67 kg wt. category and Mr. Sahil Gurung s/o Shri Bikram Gurung in 71 kg wt.category.The boxers selected are from Gangtok and Namchi.
Sikkim team has reached the venue on 30th December and the championship will start from 31st December, 2022.
