Secret Holy Cave of Dakinis – Discovery Sikkim

The magical cave it is one of the holy cave that is located in Sikkim, North East India. The secret cave belongs to Dakinis (In Buddhism she is the Goddess of Liberation) A Dakinis is an expression of emancipate energy in female form. Every so often they are admirable, and sometimes they are incensed and weird and illuminated with skulls. Since they express liberation they often are represented naked, natural, and dancing. The Tibetan word for Dakini is Khandroma, which means “sky goer.”

Introduction to Place of Dakinis

This place is also known as the Meditation place of Sage Rinpoche, the Patron Saint of Sikkim. Guru Padmasambhava who was also known as Guru Rinpoche was recognized in Tibet as one of the founding fathers of Tibetan Buddhism, who arose in Tibet in 749 A.D and spent 54 years. The other two patrons were Acharya Shanta Rakshita and Prevailing King Thisong Deotsen. Padmasambhava’s birth in this world was varied with myth and legend. Guru Rinpoche is a totally enlightened and civilized being, a fully arouse one, a buddha. He did not become enlightened moderately, or begin practicing the instructions, learnings, and teachings of Buddha Shakyamuni and ultimately accomplish enlightenment. Guru Rinpoche is incarnated as a fully knowledgeable being. Through his form, prehistoric wisdom manifests demonstrated in the world to benefit all sentient beings. Guru Rinpoche had assassinated a Demon inside this cave and inculcate this cave with divine energies. Also, there are such four caves in Sikkim. The Main is in Tashiding. This is in the South and is also known as Lho Khandu Sang. There is one cave in each district like North, East, West, and South. So when Guru Rinpoche was staying in India. Once a demon entered this cave. So Guru Rinpoche chased him and killed him. This is the holy cave area and in front of the cave, there is a Monastery. The monastery was made for the maintenance and care-taking of the cave. The Monastery is around 80 yrs old. Since then a huge number of devotees, pilgrims, and Buddhist saints have visited this place and taken benefit of this place. The trek route starts from Labdang village and is located above Tashiding.
