An earthquake measuring 3.0 on the Richter Scale hit Assam’s Sonitpur on Friday morning. The earthquake occurred at 02:04:40 (IST) AM (IST) and its coordinates were 26.59 N and 92.47 E.
On the same Morning at 1:06:08 AM, another shock hit in Manipur’s Chandel followed by 2.6 Ritcher scale in Meghalaya’s West Khasi hills at 4:20:21 AM.
Sources from all 3 states said there was no report of deaths, but some damage was reported in Sontipur.
Last month’s Earthquake measuring 3.3 hit Sontipur followed by other districts. The impact was felt in almost the three Northeastern regions according to National Center for Seismology.
