Body of Missing Army Jawan Recovered in North Sikkim

The recent landslide in North Sikkim, the body of Army jawan Sainudheen PK has been recovered by rescue teams. He was among six personnel reported missing after a massive landslide struck an Army camp in Chaten on June 1.

The recovery was officially confirmed by Mangan District Superintendent of Police, Sonam Detchu Bhutia, who has been overseeing the rescue and coordination efforts in the region.

The Indian Army, along with the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), and local administration, has been tirelessly carrying out search operations in the challenging terrain and unpredictable weather conditions of North Sikkim.

Efforts are ongoing to trace the remaining missing personnel. The landslide was triggered by incessant rainfall, which caused large-scale damage and displacement in the region.
