Two more bodies were recovered from the June 1 landslide site at the Indian Army camp in Chaten, North Sikkim, taking the total number of recovered bodies to three. The victims include one male and one female, whose identities are yet to be confirmed. Authorities believe the female could be a family member—possibly the wife or daughter—of missing Lt Colonel Pritpal Singh Sandhu.

Earlier, the body of Army jawan Sainudheen PK had been recovered from the debris. The search continues for the three remaining missing personnel amid challenging terrain and weather conditions. Rescue operations are being carried out jointly by the Indian Army, SDRF, and local authorities.

Mangan Superintendent of Police Sonam Detchu Bhutia confirmed the latest recovery and said efforts are ongoing to locate the others.
