Gangtok, October 21, On the occasion of the 63rd Police Commemoration Day, DGP, Sikkim Police, Shri A.S. Rao, along with Special DGP, Law & Order, Shri Akshay Sachdev, ADGP, Armed Police & Training, Shri Avichal, DIGP, Special Branch, Shri Prawin Gurung, DIGP, Armed Police & Training, Shri Thakur Thapa, DIGP, Range, Shri Tashi Wangyal Bhutia, SP, Gangtok, Shri Tenzing Loden Lepcha, and other Police personnel paid homage to all the Police martyrs who laid down their lives in the line of duty.
The 63rd Police Commemoration Day was observed at Ridge Park in Gangtok this morning, wherein the Police Commemoration Day parade was carried out by the Sikkim Armed Police, led by Police Inspector, Shri Manoj Kumar Chettri.
Floral wreaths were placed by Sikkim DGP, Shri Rao, and other Police officers at the Martyr’s stand to pay their respects to the martyrs. The ‘Salami Shastra’ followed by ‘Shok Shastra’ was then performed in honour of the police martyrs who laid down their lives for the safety of citizens of the country.
