Woman found dead in gangtok hotel

A woman was found dead in a hotel at the Panihouse, Gangtok hotel, here on Thursday evening. They had checked into the hotel on 27 December and had booked a room till 30 Dec.

The police said that they had come from Bihar as a tourist, and the man she stayed with her was found missing after the hotel staff checked there, who has been staying there since 27 December.

According to Report, a man named Gyanashwar Kumar was recorded in Aadhar card as he showed in a hotel, But in Rekha Singh’s Aadhar is showing her Husband’s name is Aashish Kumar Singh whose address is recorded as Harpur Jan Saran Bihar.

The body of the deceased, identified as Rekha Singh from Chapra District of Bihar. Gyanashwar Kumar (31) who has been staying in Gangtok hotel with her was found Missing.

The police said that they rushed to the hotel after its management said a door was not opening in one of the rooms. The management also told the police that Gyanashwar Kumar and Rekha checked in at the hotel on Dec 27. On Thursday, a worker went to the room and knocked on the door as checkout was 12 noon today. Since the door was locked from inside they suddenly informed the police.

The body of the deceased has been taken for autopsy to STNM Hospital. The Sikkim police have started an investigation. The police also contacted Bihar Police for more details about the woman and the man.
