India’s International Movement to Unite Nations (I.I.M.U.N.), established in 2011, proudly marks its 15th year of empowering young minds and nurturing future leaders across the globe. Over the years, the organisation has expanded its presence to more than 275 cities across 40 countries, positively impacting over 75 million lives through debates, dialogues, conferences, and leadership-driven initiatives.

Vision

To unite the world by spreading the idea of India through debates, dialogues, and conferences, thereby enabling tomorrow’s leaders worldwide to learn about India today. To create leaders without creating noise.

Overall Impact

I.I.M.U.N. has impacted more than 75 million students between the ages of 13 and 19 through its diverse educational and leadership programs, making it one of the largest youth movements of its kind.

Advisory Board

The organisation is guided by an eminent Advisory Board comprising distinguished personalities including Dr Shashi Tharoor, Ajay Piramal, Deepak Parekh, Karan Johar, Nadir Godrej, Saina Nehwal, former Chiefs of the
Armed Forces including V. P. Malik, R. K. Dhowan, and P. V. Naik, along with P. T. Usha and Jayant Sinha, amongst several others. I.I.M.U.N. is also supported by an International Advisory Board comprising former Heads of Nations, as well as an Academic Advisory Board consisting of diplomats, historians, scholars, and thought leaders from across the world.

Overall Team

Over the last 15 years, more than 30,000 students aged between 15 and 25 have been associated with the organisation and contributed towards its growth and impact. As members move beyond the age of 25, they are encouraged to pursue their professional aspirations across diverse fields. Today, former members of I.I.M.U.N. have gone on to become elected representatives, actors, entrepreneurs, business leaders, chefs, civil servants, and professionals across various disciplines.

Previous Speakers

Over the years, I.I.M.U.N. has hosted 32 Heads of Nations, Nobel Laureates, cinema icons, renowned business leaders, diplomats, and distinguished personalities, alongside more than 34,000 influential speakers and guests from across the world.

I.I.M.U.N. Gangtok Conference 2026

The I.I.M.U.N. Gangtok Conference 2026, hosted at Paljor Namgyal Girls School, Gangtok is scheduled to take place from 18th to 20th September 2026. The conference will provide students with an exceptional platform to participate in Model United Nations simulations focused on diplomacy, leadership, global citizenship, and contemporary international affairs.

Celebrating the organisation’s 15th year, the conference aims to inspire actionable change while promoting Indian culture, critical thinking, dialogue, and collaborative problem-solving through a diverse range of committees and agendas.

Itinerary

The conference will commence on 18th September 2026 at 4:00 PM with the Opening Ceremony, officially marking the beginning of the three-day conference. Committee sessions will begin on 19th September 2026, where delegates will engage in in-depth discussions and deliberations on pressing national and international issues. On 20th September 2026, the conference proceedings will continue following a special Yoga Session, and the event will conclude with the Closing Ceremony at 4:00 PM.
