Earthquake of mag 4.3 hits Bhutan’s Thimphu, Jolt Sikkim

An earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale hit Bhutan’s capital Thimphu, the National Center for Seismology (NCS) informed on Thursday.

According to NCS, an earthquake occurred at 23:59:59 PM in Thimphu which also jolted SIkkim & North Bengal.

Earthquake with magnitude of 4.3 Richter scale hits Bhutan at 11:59 pm on Friday, Tremors felt in Darjeeling, Siliguri, Sikkim and other neighboring areas.

After 2 hours another moderate magnitude of 4.3 earthquake hit southwest of Thimphu, Bhutan at 3:23 am.

4.4-magnitude earthquake struck near Thimphu, Thimphu Dzongkhag, Bhutan. The tremor was recorded early morning on Saturday, July 2nd, 2022, at 3:23 am local time, at a very shallow depth of 6.2 km below the surface.
