South Africa is in strife. The well-known President Cyril Ramaphosa called around 25 thousand troops to restrict the people that were banging with each other, fighting like enemies as they started looting and rioting last Friday. From last week 72 people have been killed and more than 1700 people have been arrested in the riots by the troops.

There is a lot of destruction or violence has been caused by the people in the country, the people which have died had become the victim of shootings, arsons & explosives, as well as some of them, indulged in fights and they have trampled to death. There are instances that have been made to create more violence in the country there can be the rise of COVID cases as the population of South Africa is around 60 million and the country is also in the middle of facing the worst situation of COVID yet. This week on Monday Ramaphosa addressed the nation on TV and given the statement that “Our vaccination program has been severely disrupted just as it is gaining momentum” he also announced that there will be marshaling of military forces. In addition to that, he also that if the violence gets to its peak then there will be disruption of food and health services for upcoming weeks. The ex-president Jacob Zuma who was in the power from 2009 to 2018 was arrested due to some reasons and coincidentally the two days later the riots have been started.

When did the riots take place?

Protests broke out last Friday, just two days after Zuma’s arrest. KwaZulu- Natal is the home province of Zuma with the highest second biggest province in South Africa by the population where around 11 million live in this province. At the time when Zuma has to come out of his residence to handing himself, but before that, his supporters came into support and amassed in front of Zuma’s residence so that they can prevent the officials or the authorities from arresting him.

Supporters of Zuma have blocked the roads and started putting fire to the property such as in the shopping centers and factories and some people started looting in distributer centers of LG and Samsung. One Video Clip got viral which is showing that a woman was been forced to throw her baby from a burning building to a crowd below. Protests got spread to other provinces such as Gutenberg which is known as the smallest province in terms of landmass and biggest in terms of population and its capital is Johannesburg, the country’s financial center. In that people started attacking and looting supermarkets and stores, the food trucks were set up on fire and the national highway closed off. After that local police came into effect and simultaneously the president Cyril Ramaphosa stated the order to military armed forces to start taking action in both the provinces, in which 1200 people were arrested.

What is the reason for Rioting? 

This will be a dicey question for upcoming months, maybe there is something serious issues that can be overwhelmed. Explanations may include political violence, seek for looting, or dissatisfaction with poverty and discrimination.

Many of the blaming that the main reason for the violence is the Zuma’s family and the other reason is Zuma’s daughter compared the leadership of President Ramaphosa with Apartheid-era leadership and she also encouraged her 1 lakh, Twitter followers, to create violence all over the province by applauding the pictures and video of arson and obstruction. The Jacob G Zuma Foundation seemingly condoned the violent protests tweeting: The Foundation has noted the reactive righteous anger of the people of South Africa which others have seemed as violence. When they approached to the people and the people said that they are reacting to the violent provocation melted and betrayed by the confinement of President Zuma by trial.

It later tweeted that: “Peace and stability in South Africa are directly linked to the release of President Zuma with immediate effect.”

After this, Zuma’s supporters gathered in front of Zuma’s residence so that authorities can’t able to arrest him and South Africa must know their position because the country is in the mid of COVID cases as on July 13, 51 thousand COVID tests have been done out of which 12,500 have been positive which means out of every four tests one is positive and also South Africa has the highest unemployment rate in the world which is 32% and also in terms of crime rates South Africa has been in top named lists. The World Bank called South Africa the world’s most unequal country in the world in 2018 till now. President Ramaphosa said that these may be the reasons for looting driven by hardships and poverty. He also said that “the poor and the marginalized bear the ultimate brunt of the destruction that is underway.

No more lock down in Sikkim due to covid

Gangtok, July 15 (IPR): Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang chaired a high-level meeting at Samman Bhawan, Gangtok, today, to review the lockdown in the State and to deliberate on the way ahead.

The meeting had the presence and participation of Hon’ble Ministers, DGP, Additional Chief Secretaries, Heads of Departments, senior Government officials, District Collectors, Chief Medical Officers, Health Department officials, ADCs (Development), and officers of the Covid-19 Management Group.

The Hon’ble Chief Minister issued strict directives to the District Collectors, SPs, ADC Development and BDOs to ensure that strict measures are adopted to contain the spread of Covid-19 any further. He called for the need to review the containment measures. He further called for emphasis on home quarantine even for people who move out of their ward or village. He urged the District Administration to review the paid quarantine facilities for people entering the State through the inter-state borders. He further urged the Health Department officials to enhance mass testing.

The Hon’ble Chief Minister lauded the Health Department for the successful implementation of the vaccination programme. He called for additional measures to ensure 100% coverage.

The Hon’ble Chief Minister directed the Tourism Department to facilitate the smooth movement of tourists into the State, duly ensuring that all safety measures are strictly followed. Likewise, Labour Department and Police Department were directed to strictly monitor the movement of labour force into the State.

During the interactive session that followed the lockdown, the District Collectors presented the status of Covid-19 in their respective districts.

Director, Health Services, Dr. Sonam T. Ethenpa apprised about the status of vaccination and testing. He informed the media that mobile testing will commence next week.

Likewise, Chief Medical Officers of the four districts presented the statistics and ground situation under their respective jurisdiction.

Director-General of Police, Shri S.D. Negi and Special DGP, Law & Order, Shri Akshay Sachdeva also provided their inputs during the meeting.

DG-cum-Secretary Health, Dr. Pempa T. Bhutia summed up the present scenario from the medical point of view. He shared statistics from the past few months and presented a comparative report. He was also apprised about the steps being taken to enhance the existing health infrastructure, especially testing laboratories. He also presented the status of vaccination in the State.

Director, Panchayat, RDD, Shri Prabhakar Rai presented a brief report of the activities being carried out by rural development functionaries to contain Covid-19.

DIG Range Shri Prawin Gurung also placed his suggestions in the meeting. He appealed to the line departments and concerned agencies to coordinate and cooperate with the Police for enforcement of the laid down rules and guidelines.

Likewise, ADCs (Development) of all the four districts also placed their feedback and suggestions in the meeting.

M.S. STNM Hospital Dr. K.B. Gurung gave a brief outline of the caseload in the Hospital and the level of preparedness.

General Manager, SNT, and Member Covid Management Group, Shri Karma Namgyal Bhutia presented the status report of the availability of medical Oxygen in the State. He also gave a brief background of the accomplishment of the State Government in commissioning the required medical Oxygen for the State.

After detailed discussion, the following broad decisions were taken by the meeting:

  1. Complete ban for one month would be enforced on all socio-religious and entertainment related activities like marriage, pujas and birthday parties and other get-togethers, both in urban and rural areas.
  2. Keeping in view the present situation, the practice of serving food and beverages during funerals and last rites will be restricted during lockdown.
  3. IEC and mass awareness on Covid Appropriate Behaviour will be upscaled. It was decided to enforce strict penalties on people and establishments violating Covid-19 guidelines.
  4. The meeting also decided to put a complete end to the practice of issuing special permits, other than for health and police personnel.
  5. Police will strictly enforce the odd-even rule for vehicles without any exception during lockdown.
  6. After reviewing the containment measures, the meeting decided that now onwards, if any person in a ward or village tests positive, the entire ward will be declared a containment zone and strict measures will be enforced to prevent further spread. In case of urban or semi urban areas or towns, the entire building will be contained during lockdown.
  7. Any relief work, social or medical service should compulsorily be routed through the District Collectors.
  8. Only in-house puja or rituals will be allowed in religious places. There will be complete ban on visitors to any religious place or institution.

The meeting concluded with the concluding remarks by Principal Secretary, Home Department, Shri R. Telang. He thanked the Hon’ble Chief Minister for his guidance and for the timely decisions. He thanked everyone present in the meeting for their contribution.

Mansukh Mandaviya, the new Union Health Minister recently tweeted a photo of his daughter with the caption, “My daughter, my pride! Reportedly, Rajya Sabha MP and the new Health Minister Mandaviya’s daughter is a final year MBBS student of Vadodara Medical College, Gujarat. She has been assisting the junior doctors and has now started rendering service in a COVID Care Centre amidst the pandemic.

Reports say that in the past week, Mandaviya visited the facilities of three vaccine-makers — Zydus and Bharat Biotech in Ahmedabad and Serum Institute of India in Pune, albeit in his capacity as the minister of state for chemicals and fertilizers to ramp up indigenous vaccines in the long run. Earlier he came to the limelight when he rode a bicycle to the Parliament a few years back to promote a green environment.

Mandaviya was the youngest MLA to enter Gujarat Assembly at the age of 28 years in 2002. He also served as the Chairman of Gujarat Agro Industries Limited.

He is a Veterinary doctor by Profession and also has a Masters degree in Political Science from a reputed university. He is known to be an active social worker in various fields while being in Gujarat and had worked to promote menstrual hygiene immensely which was recognized by UNICEF in 2015. He delivered a speech in English in the General Assembly of the UN for the same that year.

Mandaviya was first elected as Rajya Sabha MP in 2012 and re-elected again in 2018 to finally get promoted as the Union Health Minister now in the recent Cabinet reshuffle in July 2021 and has a tough road ahead to ramp up vaccinations as well as tackle any further waves of the pandemic.

An alto vehicle accident in Syari

A car accident in Syari has been reported that yesterday night there at Nandok-Rezay Road under 23-Syari Constituency, East Sikkim.

Recently a horrifying accident happened at Nandok-Rezay road where an alto vehicle went down into the gorge.

The incident took place on Monday evening, police sources said.

There were two occupants in a car where-in 21 years old boy named Durga Chettri lost his life on the spot and another one Chardra Rasaily who was is in critical condition and undergoing treatment at CRH Manipal Hospital 5th Mile also lost his life today morning according to sources.

आदिकवि भानुभक्त आचार्य नेपाली साहित्य जगत्‌मा एक भानुभक्तको रामायण सुपरिचित नाम हो । बाजेबाट शिक्षा-दीक्षा पाएका भानुभक्तले घाँसीबाट प्रेरणा पाएर रामायणको रचना गरे । अनेक फुटकर कविता र खण्डकाव्यात्मक प्रश्नोत्तरी भक्तमाला, रामगीता, वधुशिक्षा पनि लेखे। हाम्रो भारतवर्ष असाम्प्रदायिक देश भएकाले हाम्रो देशमा अनेको धर्महरू छन् । त्यस्तै प्रकारले देवी-देवता कुल धर्म, पितृपूजा भारतभूमिमा अरू देशमा भन्दा अझ बसी प्रचलित छ। सबै ईश्वरनिष्टहरूका आ-आफ्नो धर्मग्रन्थ हुन्छ । जस्तै हिन्दूको रामायण, महाभारत, गीता, वेद, पुराण बौद्धको त्रिपिटक सिखहरूको ग्रन्थसाहब आदि रामायण संस्कृत भाषामा लिखित प्राचीनकालको एउटा आदर्शबाद महाकाव्य हो। रामायण महाकाव्यमा श्रीरामको जीवन वर्णन गरिएका छ।

संस्कृति रामायणमा सातकाण्ड तथा ४ हजार श्लोक छन् औ संस्कृत रामायण थुप्रै भारतीय भाषाहरूमा पनि अनुवाद भएको छ। रामायण सम्भाव्य तेस्रो शताब्दीमा लेखिएको अनुमान गरिएका छ रामायण अनुसार राम, राजा दशरथका ज्येष्ठ पुत्र औ अयोध्याका राजकुमार थिए जो भगवान् विष्णुको सातौ अवतार हुन् भन्न हिन्दूहरूको विश्वास छ। रामकी पत्नी सीता मिथिला जनकपुरका राजा जनककी पुत्री थिइन् । यस्ता सर्वगुणसम्पन्न जोड़ी सीता राम हाम्रा नेपाली समाजमा भगवान् र भगवतीको रूपमा मान्य छन् । नेपाली समाजमा कसै-कसैले मात्र संस्कृत बुझ्दथे औ अरुमा त्यसको ज्ञान थिएन। नेपाली भाषीहरूमा पनि राम र सीताको विषयमा ज्ञान हुनु अनिवार्य छ भने भावना कवि भानुभक्तको हृदयमा जाग्यो। कुनै दिन एउटा दरिद्र घाँसीसितको भेट २ वार्तालापपश्चात् उनले बाँचुन्जेल यस संसारमा सत्कर्म गर्ने निश्चय गरे र प्रत्येक विधार्थीको मुख-मुखमा झुण्ड्याइदिने कविता रचे।


“भर् जन्म घाँस तिर मन् दिई धन कमायो
नाम क्यै रहोस् पछि भनेर कुवा खनायो
घाँसी दरिद्र घरको तर बुद्धि कस्तो
म भानुभक्त धनी भैकन किन यस्तो ।
मेरा ईनार न त सत्तल पाटिकै छन्
जे धन चीजहरु छन् घर भित्रनै छन्
त्यस घाँसीले कसरी आज दिए छ अर्ति
धिक्कार हो म कन बस्नु न राखि किर्ति ।“


भानुभक्तले यसपछी संस्कृतका रामायणको अप्ठ्यारो जटिल भाषालाई सरल र सरस नेपाली भाषामा लेखिदिई रामसीतालाई चिनाइदिए। भानुभक्तले आफ्नो रामायण मुख्य गरी शार्दूलविक्रीडित छन्दमा लेखेका छन् । भानुभक्तलाई आदिकवि भनेर मानिन्छ । उनी पूर्व धेरै कविहरू भएका भए पनि शुद्ध, सरल र मीठो नेपाली भाषा प्रयोग गरेर कवितामा सबैलाई मुग्ध गर्न कवि भानुभक्त नै हुन् । त्यसैले कवि भानुभक्तलाई हामी आदिकवि भन्दछौं। भानुभक्तीय सातकाण्ड रामायणको प्रथम काण्ड बालकाण्डमा जम्मा पाँच सय छप्पन्न श्लोकहरू छन्। यी जम्मै नै शार्दूलविक्रीडित छन्दमा लेखिएका छन् । दुइ सय साठीदेखि दुइ सय चौंसठीसम्म यो चार श्लोक मात्र इन्द्रबजा छन्दमा छन् । बालकाण्डका प्रथम दुइ श्लोक सम्पूर्ण नेपालीमा मुख मुखमा झुण्डिएका श्लोक हुन्:


“एक् दिन नारद सत्यलोक् पुगिगया लोक्को गरुँ हित् भनी । ब्रह्मा ताहिँ थिया पन्या चरणमा खुशी गराया पनि ।“

नारद ब्रह्मा भए कहाँ सत्यलोक पुगेका ब्रह्माले नारदलाई के सोध्छौ भने प्रश्न गरेका नारदले कलियुगमा अधर्म, पाप, दुराचार बढेर मानिसहरू नास्तिक पशु बन्दा के गर्नाले मोक्ष प्राप्त गर्न सकिन्छ भन्ने प्रश्न राख्दा चौबीस श्लोकदेखि बियानब्बे श्लोकसम्म ब्रह्माले रामायणको महिमा र माहात्म्य नारदलाई सुनाएका छन् । यसको तिरानब्बे श्लोकदेखि अन्तिम श्लोकसम्म अथवा पाँच सय छप्पन्न श्लोकसम्म पार्वतीले आफ्ना पति शिवलाई रामकथा सुनाउने आग्रह गर्दा शिवले पार्वतीलाई दुइ भागमा रामकथा सविस्तार सुनाएका छन् । राजा दशरथ र उनका तीनवटा रानी कौशल्या, कैकेयी र सुमित्राबा चार छोराहरूको जन्मकथा, महर्षि वशिष्ठद्वारा नामकरण, विश्वमित्र ऋषिद्वारा राम र लक्ष्मणलाई उनका आश्रममा लगेर शिक्षादान त्यही आश्रममा रहँदा सुवाहु, ताड़का, मारिहरूका संहारका कथा, गौतकी स्त्रीलाई शिलाको रूपबाट उद्धार गरिएको कथा गंगापारि जनकपुर गएर राजा जनकको पुरानो धनु उचालेर ताँदो चढ़ाउँदा भाँची सीतासित रामको विवाह साथै अन्य तीन भाइहरूको पनि विवाह भएको कथा अनि अयोध्या फर्केर गएको वृत्तान्त छ। चढाउँदा भाँची सीतासित रामको विवाह साथै अन्य तीन भाइहरूको पनि विवाह भएको कथा अनि अयोध्या फर्केर गएको वृत्तान्त छ । रामायणको महिमा गाउँदै ब्रह्मा भन्छन् । “हे नारद! सब पाप हर्नाकन ता रामायणैले सरी ।

अर्को मुख्य उपाय छैन सबको हित यै छ अम्रित सरी ।
जसले ज्ञानकन गर्दछन् त कि सहज संसार पार तर्दछन् ।
कालैको पनि ताप हुँदैन भय सब तिनका सहज तर्दछन ।
जो एक चित्त गरेर पाठ खुसि भै गर्छन् सदा यै भन्या ।
जीवनमुक्त तिनै त हुन नर भई ईश्वर सरीका बन्या ।”


भानुभक्तीय रामायणमा भानुभक्तले यस्ता कालजयी श्लोकहरू रचना गरेका छन्। सरल भाषा सुन्दर शैली एवं सर्वसधारणको निम्ति लयात्मक छन्दको प्रयोगद्वारा तत्त्वज्ञान, आत्मज्ञान र जीवन दर्शनलाई अभिव्यक्ति दिएका छन्। भानुभक्तले जसरी पूर्वबाट सूर्य उदाउँदा संसार उज्यालो बन्छ त्यसरी नै नेपाली संसारमा भानु उदाएर नेपाली भाषा, साहित्य र समाजलाई झलमल्ल पारेका छन्। नेपालीमा रामायणको रचना गर्नुको उद्देश्य पनि जातिको विकास गर्नु थियो। आज नेपाली भाषा सहित्यको जुन उत्तरोत्तर उन्नति भइरहेको छ त्यसको मुख्य श्रेय भानुभक्तलाई जान्छ । आफू अस्त भएर गए तापनि जगत्लाई आफ्नो प्रकाश दिइरहेका छन्। यसैले उनी हामीमाझ विद्यमान छन्। स्व. पुष्करशमशेरको भनाइअनुसार भानुभक्तले थुनुवा भएको अवस्थामा रामायण र मृत्युशय्यामा रामगीता अनुवाद नगरेको भए अनि मोतीरामले भानुभक्तको जीवनी लेखिसक्दो प्रशंसा गरेर उनको रामायण प्रचार नगरिदिएको भए सम्भव थियो हाम्रो भाव आज हिन्दीमा प्रकट हुन्थ्यो अनि जातीय गौरव लुप्त हुने थियो। मीठो भाषा शैली, सुन्दर छन्द, अलङ्कार जातीय भावरसले भरिएको भानुभक्तीय नै रामायण अनुवादमात्र नभई अति मौलिककाव्य बनेको छ।

रामायणकै कारण आधुनिक नेपाली कविता र अन्य साहित्य लेखनको आरम्भ भयो भन्दा अत्युक्ति हुने छैन । यसैले आज भानु जंयतीको शुभअवसरमा आदि कवि भानुभक्तलाई स्मरण गर्दै हामी सम्पूर्ण नेपाली भाषीको तर्फबाट भानुभक्तको रामायण उनलाई कोटी कोटी प्रणाम।

Ø             What is B2B Marketing?

The term B2B stands for Business to Business Marketing. The exact meaning of B2B is that the target audience will be another business. If any company sells their products or services to another company they should be using B2B marketing.

Ø             B2B V/S B2C

There is a huge difference between B2C and B2B because in B2C the business is done to the customers/individual, not to the companies or big firms. This type of marketing is done to shopkeepers, retailers, or a single customer.

 The B2B market runs on the basis of Incentives and ROI as compared to B2C. B2C basically runs on the basis of emotions, fun, and bonding between the customer and the seller which helps the B2C markets run in an efficient way.

In B2B markets, the selling of the products is difficult and the products are supplied in bulk or we can say it is an expensive form of marketing. So the buyer has to make sure everything about the product or the company or the main thing is trust, the seller has to make trust in the buyer so that buyer should buy the product easily but it to build the trust takes a lot of time it may take weeks, months or a lot of years in the market.

For instance, Amazon is the perfect example for B2C as they use digital marketing as the key component to selling their products, they display their products online and sell them individually to the customers and they are also encouraging the sellers to tie up with them and can sell their products.

Ø     The Marketing Funnel: B2B TO B2C

The Marketing Funnel is a tool that helps the customer journey to break down into stages. With the help of this tool, marketers can segregate the idea about which marketing channel is best for them. This helps them in creating cohesive digital marketing strategies to sustain themselves in the market.

The traditional marketing funnel has several stages:

·      Awareness

·      Interest

·      Consideration

·      Intent

·      Evaluation

·      Purchase

1. Awareness:  This is the very first stage in the traditional marketing funnel and it is the most important stage to get a hike in your business. If the customer is asking for a solution or demanding any unique service related to product and if no one knows about your company then it is the perfect time to give him the best services because from this stage only you can stand as a trustworthy authority and it can make a good company name in the market and also to the customers.

2. Interest: The customer is researching for the product in the market or learning about the products that are available in the market.

3.  Consideration: In this stage, the consumer has found out the product in the market to buy for the company or business but the customer is still researching about the seller’s company. That means they need some social reviews and evidence just to make sure that they are buying the product from the right place or not.

4. Intent: The intent is that the customer has decided to buy the product. In the B2C market, the product is packed or delivered in a cart whereas in B2B the products are shown to the company and sometimes some of the sample products are sent for demo purposes.

5. Evaluation: This is the final stage where the customer makes his final decision to buy the product or not. The customer may have any other references or choices about the products. At last, they review all the products they have researched and finalized the product.

6. Purchasing: This is the end stage where your hard work pays off and the customer finally buys the product.

In B2C the marketing goes very well without facing as many difficulties compared to B2B.

In B2C there is less consideration and deals are done in an informal way, so the chances of doing business in the B2C market results as good.

In B2B the deal is being done from business to business and is done in stock that buys a bulk amount and there are a lot of difficulties sellers have to face because companies have to pass through each and every stage in a formal way so the chances get less and it takes a long time. So, there is an additional post-purchase stage in the B2B marketing funnel. IN this type of stage the product is opposed and there is focus towards the sale in ongoing service. Rather than up-sailing other services this stage is more focused on the customer retention stage. That’s why B2B companies find their own buyer journey which is different from others which helps them to attract a larger target audience.

Ø            B2B Traditional Marketing

In Traditional Marketing, the marketing was done in an old traditional way, i.e. at the time when there was no internet. The channels of digital marketing are:

Digital Marketing also is expensive marketing but it has an assurance that you will be getting a profit and in digital marketing the more you invest, the more profit you get. So, it is much easier for businesses to see the profit through analytical data rather than in old traditional marketing where we guess or take an approximate/rough idea.
