Bhaichung’s effigy burnt in Namchi in a statement against 300 bedded hospital

An effigy of former Indian Captain Bhaichung Bhutia was burnt amidst shouting of slogans at Namchi park in South Sikkim district on Wednesday, in protest against the Bhutia’s statement on 300 bedded hospital.

Two women were seen liting fire in effigy and shouting slogans against Bhutia. Within few minutes a large number of women were joined with two other breaking COVID Guidelines.

Last day Chief Minister of Sikkim Shri PS Golay planned a massive 300 bedded hospital in south Sikkim which is about to complete in the next 3 years. Bhaichung Bhutia gave a statement on social Media saying to improve the current running hospital instead of constructing 300 bedded hospital in the south.
