India vs srilanka t20 cricket

The T20 match was held in Colombo, Sri Lanka in R Premadasa Stadium today. The pitch was batting friendly and for bowlers, the pitch was also normal as they were getting normal spin. Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to bowl, maybe the reason that India took advantage by scoring the defendable score. Prithvi Shaw was ducked on the first ball, this caused India a little worry but Surya Kumar Yadav played very well by making a half-century in just 34 balls.

Shikhar Dhawan with 46 runs in 36 balls and Sanju Samson with 27 runs In 20 balls also added to the final score. While on the other hand, Indian bowlers too performed greatly as Bhuvneshwar Kumar took 4 wickets by conceding only 22 runs in just 3.3 overs and Deepak Chahar took 2 wickets in 3 overs by giving 24 runs and Krunal Pandya took 1 wicket by giving 16 runs in 2 overs. India made 164/5 on the board by batting first in the first T20 innings.

In the second innings, Sri Lanka did a good start but couldn’t maintain it due to the constant fall of wickets. Charith Asalanka made 46 runs for his team in just 26 balls and Avishka Fernando made 26 runs and Dasun Shanaka made 16 runs in 14 balls. The Lankan bowlers also weren’t able to put up a big show. They surely will be very upset with their today’s performance and have to revisit their shortcomings.

India- 164/5 in 20.0 overs

Sri Lanka – 126 in 18.3 overs

Victory for India will boost up their confidence for further matches.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar became the MAN OF THE MATCH in this T20 Match, said that victory is the most important thing to him. Adds that he took time to adjust as the execution was important. Tells that it was a good batting wicket. States the spinners bowled well and he too enjoyed all the 4 wickets.

Olympic day-2, a Bit Disappointing for India by Their Players

DAY-2 PREVIEW–

Another day started with the hope of adding up medals in the tally but was challenging for India to win. The first day began with the Mirabai Charu’s ultimate start by winning silver, but couldn’t keep the same spirit on day 2. Though PV Sindhu won her first-round easily and reserved her place in the next round. Manika Batra also won in the second round and won under an hour. Mary Kom also won by defeating Miguelina Hernandez Garcia in the round of 32 and entered in the pre-quarters.

In Men’s lightweight double sculls: Arjun Lal and Arvind Singh reached semifinal A/B by coming 3rd place in this round. Yet, on the other hand, Indian shooters disappointed India by their performance, as they kept struggling in the search for medals. Manu Bhaker (12th position) and Yashaswini Deswal (13th position) bow out in the qualification round. Women’s doubles tennis: Sania Mirza and Ankita Raina lost to Ukraine’s Nadiia Kichenok and Liudmyla Kichenok (6-0, 6-7, 8-10). Sathiyan Gnanasekaran lost 7-11, 11-7, 11-4, 11-5, 9-11, 10-12, 6-11 to Hong Kong’s Lam Siu Hang. Pranati Nayak finished at 16th position with a total score of 42.565.

Sailing, Nethra Kumanan 27th overall after two races (out of 10).  Divyansh and Deepak bow out as they finished 32nd and 26th respectively. Maana Patel clocked 1:05.20 in the women’s 100m backstroke heats, finishing 39th overall. She failed to qualify for the semis Olympic.

Srihari Nataraj finished 27th overall in the men’s 100m backstroke heats and failed to qualify for the semis. He clocked 54.31s.

-ABOUT THE MATCHES

– Men’s lightweight double sculls: Indian Duo Arjun Lal Jat and Arvind Singh qualified for the semifinals of the men’s lightweight double sculls repechage at the Tokyo Olympics here on Sunday.

The Indian duo clocked 6:51.36 to finish in third place at the Sea Forest Waterway, the semifinals will be on July 27.

-BADMINTON: Current world champion P V Sindhu made an excellent start to her Olympics this year, thrashing Israel’s Ksenia Polikarpova in straight games in the women’s singles group J match here on day-2.

The 26-year-old Indian seeded sixth, beating the 58th ranked Polikarpova 21-7 21-10 in a lop-sided opening match. She defeated her in just 37 minutes.

-TABLE TENNIS: 11 minutes into her second-round match, Manika Batra seemed to be much tensed. Rarely does she betray any emotion, but the cameras managed to catch her frown, as she silently sipped water, trying to figure out how to overcome the 2-0 deficit at the hands of World No 32 Margaryta Pesotska 2-0. The answer wasn’t what she was doing wrong. Rather it was what she wasn’t doing.

In the first two games, it was the second part of her game that she didn’t follow. In a match that lasted 57 minutes at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium, the World No 62 ended up overcoming the deficit to pull off an upset 4-3 (4-11, 4-11, 11-7, 12-10, 8-11, 11-5, 11-7) win for Batra understood the changes she needed to bring into the match from the third game. She started rallies slowly, soaking in Pesotska’s shots and sending them back with plentiful spin but not much speed – placement was key. Just when it seemed the Ukrainian was about to find a footing in the rally, Batra would start whipping in faster backhands and forehands.

That’s what happened when the Ukrainian hit a forehand long on match point to send Batra into the third round in the Olympics.

-BOXING: Mary Kom began her Tokyo 2020 campaign with a round of 32 wins in the 51kg category but fellow boxer Manish Kaushik (63kg category) faced an early exit with a loss in the round of 32. She entered the pre-quarters.

-Women’s 10m air pistol: Indian shooters struggled under a lot of pressure for a second successive day as Manu Bhaker and Yashaswini Singh Deswal failed to make the finals of the women’s 10m air pistol event in the Tokyo Olympics here on Sunday.

But she was not consistent enough to challenge the top guns, bowing out in 13th place with scores of 94, 98, 94, 97, 96, and 95 for an aggregate of 574.

Having started with an impressive 98, including five 10s in the first series, Manu finished the event in 12th place with a total score of 575.

The problem with her gun saw her lose five minutes but she came back to manage a 95. The cut-off was 577.

-TENNIS: Top-ranked Ash Barty has been upset by 48th-ranked Spanish opponent Sara Sorribes Tormo 6-4, 6-3 in the first round of the Tokyo tennis tournament.

It was Barty’s Olympic singles debut. She won a doubles match with Australian teammate Storm Sanders on Saturday. Sania and Raina were running away with the contest after bageling their opponents but in a dramatic turnaround, the Kichenok sisters came back from the dead to pull off a 0-6 7-6(0) 10-8 win at court 11 of Ariake Tennis Centre. But disappointed India by losing the very first game.

-GYMNASTIC: India’s lone gymnast at Tokyo Olympics, Pranati Nayak failed to qualify for the All-Round finals of the Artistic Gymnastics competition here on Sunday.

The 26-year-old from West Bengal recorded a total score of 42.565 over the four categories — floor exercise, vault, uneven, bars, and balance beam — at the Ariake Gymnastics center.

-TABLE TENNIS MEN’S SINGLES: Indian table tennis player G Sathiyan suffered an upset defeat at the hands of lower-ranked Siu Hang Lam to make an early exit from the men’s singles competition at the Tokyo Games, here on Sunday.

Ranked 38 and seeded 26th, Sathiyan had a commanding 3-1 lead but lost four games in a row to lose 3-4 to the 95th ranked Hong Kong player. The first game was tight but the Hong Kong player pulled away from 6-6 with his forehand at work.

Sathiyan switched gears after the opening game with ease. He hit a forehand out to be down by match point. Lam sealed it when Sathiyan made a big error and resulted in a loss.

SWIMMING: Nethra Kumanan 27th overall after two races (out of 10). : Divyansh and Deepak bow out as they finished 32nd and 26th respectively. Maana Patel clocked 1:05.20 in the women’s 100m backstroke heats, finishing 39th overall. She failed to qualify for the semis.

Srihari Nataraj finished 27th overall in the men’s 100m backstroke heats and failed to qualify for the semis. He clocked 54.31s.

Digitalization in Space Industry

The Space Industry is growing and getting advanced day by day as it uses advanced technologies to be successful in its missions or operations. Almost 60 to 70 percent of the space industry has started moving towards full digitalization. There is a company named, RUAG Space, has expanded its business to the United States as the US is known as Hub of Innovation and Technology. RUAG Space has shifted its business to the US because they need complete robust engineering and technology.

The power of Digital Electronics is incredible as satellites onboard computer processes up to 4000 million of instructions per second.

The onboard computer is one of the fine digital products that has been made till now and it has been only installed in RUAG Space. This Onboard computer controls all central functions of a satellite or rocket and it also helps to provide significant data for mission control.

The Senior Vice President Electronics at RUAG Space has stated that “Our aim is not just to drive a digital mindset, our products are – in essence – purely digital. And this is the experience that we are sharing with our customers, a combined total of 2,900 failure-free years of our equipment in orbit”

The Digital Paradox

Focusing more on access to the internet, mobile connectivity, and autonomous cars is like a paradox. The infrastructure of satellites enables digitalization on Earth, the space industry has started adopting advanced technologies at an early stage.

Linder said, “The space industry can take more time to fully embrace new engineering or production patterns, but there is too much for the industry to gain. Having rich and advanced technology in digital products and we want to further upgrade the technology that helps to build high-performance spacecraft infrastructure that in turn connects the world”.

Apart from the Onboard computers, RUAG Space also manufactures different mission equipment such as Antennas for NASA’s James Webb Telescope or microwave products for new space companies like Astranis. RUAG’s navigation systems are now flying on environmental satellite ICESat- 2 to localize the satellite at all times.

Leveraging digital processes

Digitalization is not only about getting advanced with technology or digital products. Nowadays, On-board computers are much smaller in size than the older version. With the use of 3D printing as a digital method, the parts for mechanical and electronic products are now being manufactured with an increasing amount of flexibility.

Ready to manufacture in mass

Advancement in technology helps us to deliver a large number of electronic products at a very low cost and duration.

Linder said that “We are now one of the few companies in the market, that can manufacture in mass — which is a critical capability when it comes to supplying constellations and new space projects,”

“We are leveraging our development findings from one area to the other – but most importantly, we are ready to create new technology that will enable our customers to be at the forefront of the industry”

Powerful hardware for AI

Nowadays this is a hot topic that is going on in the news i.e. how AI can be a powerful tool for the space industry.

Connecting mechanical and electronics competence

RUAG Space connects its mechanical and electronics experience and has made its name in the space market key suppliers. They supply mechanical dispensers, satellite panels, and thermal components for the OneWeb mega constellation project. RUAG Space is also a key supplier for NASA as they make a special component for the NASA space launch system. RUAG Space will be exhibiting its capabilities at the 35th National Space Symposium, at booth #729.

Police Patrolling in Rural area

THE ILLOGICAL AND UNSCIENTIFIC RESTRICTION CAUSING UNDUE HARDSHIP AND HARASSMENT TO THE RURAL SIKKIMESE,” said SPYF.

NO CONCRETE POLICY TO FIGHT AGAINST THE PANDEMIC

After more than 15 months of the start of the lockdown in the state, the state administration has failed to make a concrete policy in controlling the covid virus in the state. This is the situation even after several directions and advisories of the High Court of the State.

A state of little over half-million population, being represented to the Govt by 32 MLAs( in-state like UP the entire population of Sikkim is represented by 1 MLA) and 12 ministers, Four District Magistrates( the population of over 50 lakh in UP has just one DM), several SDMs, BDOs; not to forget Political Secretaries, Additional Political Secretaries, Chairpersons, advisors, OSDs, and scores of such extra-constitutional appointments made by the ruling party from taxpayers money, is number one in the country in the country of 1300 million death rate, positivity rate, lowest recovery rate, etc. This is despite imposing the longest and stringiest lockdown in the entire country. That means the people of Sikkim faced extreme hardship and yet the state performed the worse in handling the pandemic. What could be a more stark failure than this to the Govt running the state? Questioned SPYF

BURDEN OF THE PANDEMIC TO THE COMMON PEOPLE ALONE

“What the state Govt has done the best is shifting the entire burden of the pandemic to the shoulder of the common people alone” SPYF raised question

It is the common people who lost their jobs, it is the common people who fall into the debt trap, it is the common people who died with the covid-19, it is the common people who died with other non-covid diseases because the Govt hospitals have totally neglected non-covid services in this pandemic, it is the common people who are bearing the skyrocketing and unregulated price rise, it is the common people who paid doubled fare of the vehicles, it is the common people whose businesses have been hit hard, it is the common people whose education has been hit hard, it is the common people who are being penalized even in inside their home compound for not wearing mask properly, it is the common whose fundamental rights have been denied in the name of DM act. It is the common people who have been bearing the entire burden of a pandemic while the MLAs, ministers, brass level officers, the henchmen of the ruling party are being allowed to roam freely. In fact, SPYF said that it is them who were crowding in villages and towns in one pretext or other, responsible for spreading the virus even when everyone was sitting locked in their home.

BIZZARE RESTRICTION

Now in the most bizarre of the decisions, SPYF said that the Govt is declaring the entire village containment zone if a single person of that village is found covid positive, thereby causing extreme hardships to the rural folks. At a time when the agricultural activities in the villages are at their peak, a regulation like this is hampering the prime bread-earning activities in the villages. The Govt has initiated this regulation without giving a thought to the economically marginalized section of the villages, who earn their living through daily wage. Instead of strictly monitoring the house in which the case is detected, the govt is containing the entire village thereby causing unnecessary difficulties to the entire village. Now, in less than a week of the initiation of the new regulation, almost all villages have become containment zone bringing the daily activities of the people to a standstill.

HIGHHANDEDNESS OF POLICE

We have been seeing numerous complaints of the highhandedness caused by the police to the gullible rural folks. The Govt must order the police force to treat people with sensitivities and respect. They must not forget, they have been paid through these very people’s taxes whom they are harassing.SPYF requests the Government to relax the new protocol being imposed in the villages, rather than work out a logical and rational protocol avoiding all unnecessary hardships to the people.

Apple From Manipur and Tripura caught Attention

Apples grown in Manipur and Tripura

Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his Mann ki Baat mentioned Apples grown in Manipur and Tripura

My dear countrymen, you must have heard of an English adage- “To learn is to grow” that is to learn is to progress. When we learn something new, doors to new advances open up automatically for us. Whenever an effort to do something new, different from the rut, has been made, new doors have opened for humankind, a new era has begun. And you must have seen whenever something new happens anywhere, its result surprises everyone. Now, for example, if I ask you which states that you would connect with Apples are? Obviously in your mind first of all the names of Himachal Pradesh, Jammu-Kashmir and Uttarakhand would strike.

But if I ask you to add the name of Manipur too to this list you will probably be filled with surprise. Youths filled with passion to do something new have demonstrated this feat in Manipur. Nowadays apple farming is picking up fast in the Ukhrul district of Manipur. Farmers here are growing apples in their orchards. To learn apple farming these people have taken formal training by going to Himachal.

One of these is T S Ringphami Young. By profession, he is an aeronautical engineer. He along with his wife Shrimati T S Angel has grown apples. Similarly, Avungshee Shimre Augasteena too has grown apples in her orchard. Avungshee had a job in Delhi. She returned to her village quitting this and started farming apples. There are many such apple growers in Manipur who have demonstrated something different and something new.

Friends, in our tribal communities, Ber fruit has always been very popular. The members of the tribal community have always been cultivating Ber. But its cultivation is increasing especially after the COVID-19 pandemic.

Bikramjit Chakma of 32 years of age is my young friend from Unakoti, Tripura. He has not only earned a lot of profit by starting Ber cultivation; Now he is also motivating people to do Ber cultivation. The state government has also come forward to help such people. Many special nurseries have been started by the government for this purpose so that the demand of the people associated with the cultivation of Ber can be met. Innovation is happening in agriculture, so creativity is also being witnessed in the by-products of agriculture.

A big start on the very first day of Olympic 2021. It was a great start for India on the first day by winning the silver medal in weightlifting by women. The history has been made by Mirabai Charu in Tokyo. She made India proud in the whole arena with her strength and sportsmanship. A new achievement has been added up in the achievement basket of India. While badminton, hockey, Table Tennis, shooting, and boxing campaigns also begin. Then the men’s hockey team defeated New Zealand by 3-2 and in women’s hockey India was beaten comprehensively by the Netherlands by 1-5. In boxing, Vikas Krishan bowed out in his round of 32 welterweight bouts against japan’s Sewonrets Okazawa.

ABOUT THE MATCHES

WEIGHTLIFTING-  Mirabai Chanu ended India’s 21-year wait for a weightlifting medal at the Olympics by clinching a silver medal in the 49kg category to open the country’s account here on Saturday. The 26-year-old lifted a total of 202kg (87kg+115kg) to better Karnam Malleswari’s bronze in the 2000 Sydney Olympics. With this, she exorcised the ghosts of the 2016 Games where she had failed to log a single legitimate clean and jerk lift. The gold went to china’s Hou Zhihui with an effort of 210kg (94kg+116kg), while Windy Cantika Aisah of Indonesia took home the bronze with an effort of 194kg (84kg+110kg).

Considered her weakness in the run-up to the marquee event, Chanu attempted 84kg in her first snatch attempt. The Manipuri took her time and cleanly heaved the barbell. She lifted 87kg in her next attempt and raised the weight to 89kg, which was one 1kg more than her personal best of 88kg that she had lifted at the national championship last year. However, she was unable to better her personal best and settled for 87kg in the snatch event only behind leader Zhihui, who created a new Olympic record with an effort of 94kg. The Chinese lifter also holds the world mark (96kg) in the category. In the clean jerk, Chanu, the world record holder in the section, lifted 110kg and 115kg in the first two attempts.

However, she was unable to raise 117kg in her final attempt but it was enough to fetch her a medal and open India’s account. The diminutive Manipuri broke down after realising that she has secured a medal and hugged her coach in jubilation. She later broke into dance too to celebrate the historic podium finish.

SHOOTING- Saurabh Chaudhary couldn’t live up to his early promise, finishing seventh in the Men’s 10m Air Pistol Final, at the Tokyo Olympics on July 24. The 19-year-old settled for a total score of 137.4 and faced an early elimination. It was in stark contrast to his performance to his qualification stage, where he registered scores of 95, 98, 98, 100, 98, and 97. During the qualification round, he was also accompanied by Abhishek Verma, who failed to make the cut.

MIXED TEAM QUARTER- India experienced a perfect start to their archery campaign at the Olympics on Saturday as the mixed duo of Deepika Kumari and Pravin Jadhav bounced back from behind to knock out Chinese Taipei and book a quarterfinal berth. Trailing 1-3 after they lost the first set by one point, Team India needed to win the third set to save their fortunes and the duo, who were shooting together at the international level for the first time, showed perfect coordination to seal the issue 5-3 in style

HOCKEY MEN’S TEAM- Harmanpreet Singh scored a brace and veteran goalkeeper P R Sreejesh stood like a wall in the closing minutes as the Indian men’s hockey team overcame a late surge from New Zealand to eke out a close 3-2 win in its opening Olympic Games match here on Saturday.

Harmanpreet (26th and 33rd minutes) scored a double for India, while Rupinder Pal Singh (10th) was the other goal-getter for the eight-time former champions, currently ranked fourth in the world, in the Pool A match at the Oi hockey stadium here. For eighth-ranked New Zealand, Kane Russell scored from a penalty corner in the sixth minute before Stephen Jenness (43rd minute) reduced the margin of defeat later in the match.

WOMEN’S TEAM- The Rani Rampal-led Indian women’s national field hockey team (nicknamed the Nabhvarna) were thrashed 5-1 against World no.1 Netherlands. Rani Rampal was the only goalscorer in the first quadrant but Netherlands players gained momentum after a  goal in the third quadrant opened floodgates for Netherland women against India.

WOMEN AIR RIFLE- India’s shooting campaign at the Tokyo Olympics got off to a disappointing start as World No. 1 Elavenil Valarivan and world-record holder Apurvi Chandela finished well outside the qualifying spots in the Women’s 10m Air Rifle Qualification event on Saturday.

Elavenial Valarivan finished 16th in the 50-woman qualification field with a score of 626.5. Only the top 8 shooters from the highly competitive field qualify for the final and Elavenil missed the mark by 2 points as Russia’s Galasina Anastasiia took the final qualifying spot with 628.5.

TENNIS SINGLES- Sumit Nagal on Saturday became only the third Indian to win a men’s singles match at an Olympics edition and the first in 25 years when he edged past Denis Istomin in a three-setter at the Tokyo Games. Sumit Nagal defeated Denis Istomin in a three-set match on SaturdayNagal became the 3rd Indian to win a men’s singles match at the GamesNagal will now take on world number 2 Daniil MedvedevSumit Nagal on Saturday became only the third Indian to win a men’s singles match at an Olympics edition and the first in 25 years when he edged past Denis Istomin in a three-setter at the Tokyo Games. Nagal got the better of Istomin 6-4 6-7(6) 6-4 in two hours and 34 minutes on court 10 at the Ariake Tennis Centre to set up a second-round with world number two Daniil Medvedev. Zeeshan Ali was the first Indian to win a singles match at the 1988 Seoul Games when he beat Victo Caballero from Paraguay.  After that, the legendary Leander Paes won the historic men’s singles bronze at the 1996 Atlanta Games, beating Brazil’s Fernando Meligeni.

No Indian could win a singles match after Paes’ heroic feat even as Somdev Devvarman and Vishnu Vardhan competed at the 2012 Games in London but did not manage to cross the first round hurdle. The 23-year-old Nagal, who did not come into the Games in his best form, had a break opportunity in the sixth game of the opening set but could not convert. The Indian, though, did not squander the opportunity when Istomin was serving to stay in the set.

BADMINTON-. In badminton B sai Praneth lost but Satwiksairaj reddy and Shirag Shetty defeated chinses Taipei and chi-lin wang in their men’s double. Table tennis players Sharnath kamal and Manika Batra lost from Chinese Taipei, lin Yun-Ju, and cheng i-ching in the mixed doubles.

TABLE TENNIS- Manika Batra vs Tin-Tin Ho: Manika Batra has won Round 1 of women’s singles after defeating Britain’s Tin-Tin Ho 11-7, 11-6, 12-10, and 11-9. It was an easy win for Batra, After a poor display in the Mixed doubles against Chinese Taipei’s Lin and Cheng in which they dominated the game throughout, Manika Batra and Sharath Kamal could not even come close. The match ended in 4 straight games as India lost – 11-8, 11-6, 11-5, 11-4.

BOXING- India at Tokyo Olympics: Vikas Krishnan stunned in 1st Round itself, Japan’s Okazawa completely shocks Indian: India’s most experienced boxers Vikas Krishan has lost out in the opening round of Tokyo Olympics. Vikas playing his 3rd Olympic was tipped to win a medal this time but was left shell-shocked as local boxer Mensah Okazawa stunned him in the first round. The boxer from Japan won by a 5-0 margin.

-Reason behind raj Kundra’s arrest in this racket

Two victims got arrested by Mumbai police. One was indulged in the production of these adult films and another was in broadcasting media who finals the OTT platforms on which these films would be uploaded.

There were many ‘HOPTAPPS’ on which these films were uploaded. All these apps got popular in the lockdown period with lakhs of subscribers and membership partners after knowing that pornography films were banned and illegal in India. After the investigation and interrogating both the suspects the Mumbai police get to know that these adults films were posted in foreign countries too. The UK production house wh uploads these films, police investigated the executive Umesh Kamat who was also the ex-assistant of raj Kundra claimed that Raj Kundra has the connection with these adult films supplies and the company keirin Pvt Ltd also reported the name of Raj Kundra in this racket. Like kenrin, the Mumbai-based company via an industry owned by Raj Kundra was highly involved in running these ‘HOTAPPS’.

The Raj Kundra name claim by probe Kamat has given a new angle in this racket. His name had cropped up earlier, said by police, but there was nothing serious against him. The keirin posts these porn clips to sidestep the anti-pornography laws of India. The clips were transferred by the WeTransfer app to the UK and then released on paid mobile apps.

For evidence and confirmation of the involvement of raj Kundra and this Mumbai police searched Raj Kundra’s office where they found agreements, papers, WhatsApp chats and pornographic clips which establishes that raj Kundra was completely involved in this adult film racket said by the joint commissioner of Mumbai police to reporters. Raj Kundra was arrested based on these pieces of evidence.

-Suspects who came in front of the camera after this

Bollywood actress Poonam Pandey came in front of the camera after this arrest and posted her video on Instagram claiming that raj Kundra had forced her too to expose herself for these pornographic films and when she refused to do this, they shared her personal mobile number with the caption-‘CALL ME NOW, I WILL STRIP FOR YOU’. And after that, she had received 1000+ calls for this and also threatening calls. She had also filed a case against him but nothing happened.

Gehna Vasisht who got arrested wrongly claimed that there was nothing inappropriate in the films. People should know the difference between adult films and erotic films. She said she was happy working with them and used to get paid by them and she deserves this.

Mika Singh, said that there was nothing on those apps, he used one of the apps which are completely fine, and the rest he is waiting for what will happen next. He claimed that raj Kundra is a nice guy but he is waiting for the next decision.

-Any other cases on Raj Kundra

Kundra had applied for anticipatory bail last month in connection with a case registered by the Maharashtra cyber police last year. That case was also of adult films content.

In June 2013 Kundra was questioned by Delhi police concerning the 2013 IPL spot-fixing case which had involved the arrest of Rajasthan royals players, further on which Delhi police gave him a clean chit to Kundra in reply of right to information.

South China Sea

The South China Sea is an extremely significant body of water in a geopolitical sense. It is the second most used seaway within the world, while in terms of world annual merchant fleet tonnage, over 50% passes through the Strait of Malacca, the Sunda Strait, and the Lombok Strait. Over 1.6 million m³ (10 million barrels) of crude oil each day are shipped through the Strait of Malacca where there are regular reports of piracy, but much less frequently than before the mid-20th century.

The region has proven oil reserves of around 1.2 km³ (7.7 billion barrels), with an estimate of 4.5 km³ (28 billion barrels) in total. Natural gas reserves are estimated to total around 7,500 km³ (266 trillion cubic feet). A 2013 report by the U.S. Energy Information Administration raised the entire estimated oil reserves to 11 billion barrels. In 2014 China began to drill for oil in waters disputed with Vietnam. The area in question is understood as Vanguard Bank and which Vietnam officials claim lies within their country’s 200-mile exclusive economic zone. China, however, disputes this fact.

According to studies made by the Department for Environment and Natural Resources, Philippines, this body of water holds one-third of the entire world’s marine biodiversity, thereby making it a very important area for the ecosystem. However the fish stocks in the area are depleted, and countries are using fishing bans as a means of asserting their sovereignty claims.

Indonesia’s maritime waters have been breached by fishing fleets from Vietnam and the Philippines leading to said ships being seized and sunk by Indonesian authorities.

China announced in May 2017 a breakthrough for mining methane clathrates, once they extracted methane from hydrates within the South China Sea

Relevance for China

It is estimated that the South China Sea may contain one-hundred and five billion barrels of hydrocarbon reserves. Thus, whoever controls and achieves sovereignty over the islands, reefs, and waters of the South China Sea, will have access to those huge energy reserves. Moreover, the Strait of Malacca is that the shortest sea route between African and Persian Gulf suppliers and Asian consumers.

For these reasons, it’s critical for China’s future energy security, to possess uncontested access to such hydrocarbon reserves and other resources. China’s economic process means it’s become the second-largest consumer of oil within the world and therefore the demand for energy in China is predicted to extend still further over the coming decades.

Around eighty percent of China’s oil imports, as well as a significant amount of its trade, pass through the South China Sea. Therefore, China’s control over the region will enable this maritime trade to pass to mainland China unfettered.

The South China Sea accounts for a really significant proportion of China’s annual fishing requirements. Thus, it is critical to China’s food security policy, to maintain unchallenged access to such sources of protein.

India’s Stakes

Even though India isn’t a lively player within the high-stakes jostle for the control of those waters, it’ll hardly remain an unaffected bystander just in case the facility structure there changes drastically. Nearly $200 billion worth of Indian trade passes through the South China Sea and thousands of its citizens study, work, and invest within the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) countries,  China, Japan, and therefore the Republic of Korea. This makes it a neighborhood of high strategic necessity for India. If China comes to establish un-rivaled sway over these waters, that could upend a huge part of the existing trade and geopolitical setup. Access to the main waterways in Southeast Asia is a crucial consideration for Indian policymakers, as is that they got to build capacity in member states of the ASEAN. Both are central to New Delhi’s Indo-Pacific vision.

In other words, what happens within the South China Sea is extremely much India’s business too. It must find ways to play its cards right so that it can leverage these disputed waters when the time involves holding Beijing to account for its brazen border breaches and other transgressions.

It is unlikely that China will desist from its hard power projection. Whether or not China provokes further confrontation immediately, it’d test America’s resolve to face its Asian allies within the youth of the new U.S. administration. China’s contribution to global recovery since the crisis of 2007- 08 has been significant. It’s faltering, or falling prey to adventurist action within the South China Sea, which won’t be good for itself, the region, or the planet, including India.
